Dragon fly emerging
I came back home from Dancefit and did another hour or so digging/ forking over in the garden. When I stopped for coffee I spotted this dragonfly which had just emerged from its larval skin and is waiting in the sun to dry out.
I then sorted out the pond pump/ small fountain which had stopped working. Must remember in the future not to be looking at it when I get it working again, as I got a face full of dirty pond water! A bit like a comedy sketch. After removing as much weed from the pond surface as I could manually, I put some of the pond clear stuff in, so fingers crossed the water will be looking a lot clearer in a few days.
Sadly the dragon fly is still in the same position this evening. There was a bit of a chilly wind today and I think it was too cold for it to survive. What a shame as it had probably survived in the pond all winter.
This evening it's the monthly village fish and chips and quiz in what used to be the cricket pavilion, but it's now used for all sorts of things.
