That’s Big
Started the day with a Veterans Breakfast meet at the Norway Inn. I left promptly so that Sam could get to her book club but only stopped off at home long enough to load Paddy into the car and drive him out for his walk.
Following the long walk on Wednesday Paddy has a sore paw so parking in Ships & Castles car park we walked the stretch of the SW Coastal Footpath that runs below Castle Drive out to Pendennis Point and after taking the photos for todays Blip retraced our steps.
The reason for returning; today history was made as the largest ship ever to enter the harbour into an anchorage inside the lighthouse arrived.
With two tugs standing by the 330m long Regal Princess safely anchored due to the easterly swell making conditions in the bay unacceptable for tendering.
Regal Princess, was ordered in 2010, constructed in Monfalcone, Italy and debuted in 2014.
She brings a much needed boost to the local economy.
Returning home I got sucked in watching Englands Red Roses, that and the newspaper took care of the rest of the day.
