It really is happening

The packers arrived. And they were great. (We’d got 5 quotes in for removals and they varied by £3.5 thousand!! We didn’t choose the cheapest, but one up - and they did so well). They finished ahead of schedule and thanked me !!! for my half packing and organising! :-)))

There was I thinking I wasn’t.

A friend Anna came round in the afternoon and we blitzed the kitchen cupboards - scrubbing them to perfection. Lovely having her practical help and energy.

With not much left unpacked, the 4 of us ate takeaway on garden chairs and watched the Arsenal. What a weird last night in our family home of 21 years. I managed a neighbourhood stroll late afternoon. That was full of nostalgia.
