A Good Friday
Only photo - which isn’t actually a photo. It’s from a video I took to show friends, of the empty field at the end of our garden - perfect for walking a dog who is in season. What an unexpected bonus.
It’s Good Friday. It’s good because Jesus died a death He didn’t deserve to save others from what they do deserve.
Our church had lots planned for today. I didn’t know what I’d be able to join in on. In the middle of our service, Curry’s phoned to say that they were a few hours early and ready to deliver our fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. I couldn’t really risk telling them to go away so I left the service and went home. It took ages to sort. And they asked for more money in cash which was dubious.
So once that was sorted, I joined the church family in the park doing community things. It was excitingly busy and buzzing.
Left that mid afternoon to come back and make some progress. Incredibly thankful for meals provided by friends yesterday and today. The kitchen in our new house is small and I can’t work the oven out - the instruction manual is here but I’m too impatient to read it. :-/
Good Friday is good by name and by nature.
