A leisurely day
We both decided to spend our last day in Gréoux rather than going on the organised walk - which, we had been warned, included some quite tricky scrambling. We spent the whole morning wandering beside the river Verdon, listening to the birds, and checking what they were on Merlin. Nightingales seem pretty common and ordinary here:)
We sat for a while with our feet in the water, then walked back up to the town. Passing a beautiful French house covered in yellow roses (1st extra). We had coffee, went to a bookshop, a beautiful simple lunch, then back to the hotel where J swam and I read my book by the pool on a sun lounger (2nd extra). My third extra is of the symbol of Gréoux, a wolf and a squirrel, which I like very much
