It was like an abandoned theme park today, music playing from speakers outside restaurants that were either closed or empty and the Dante fountain splashing to no passers-by. In the street behind me buses used to pull up, disgorging tourists who’d paid for a tour of free sites around Sydney - the fish markets, Sydney Uni, beaches and here. I understand the attraction.

It was an enjoyable walk through my old neighbourhood.
