The Coast Office
Abi and I had a late breakfast at Kitridding, this morning, after which she went off to meet her Mum and I drove down to Lancaster station to pick up the Minx.
It was a reasonable day, weather-wise, so we decided to take a trip out to Arnside, parking up in the little car park down by the sea, which was heavily puddled, suggesting the tide had been in recently. It was very full, so I had to park over a deep puddle and clamber out on the passenger side.
After that, we took a stroll along the shops, pausing at The Coast Office for an ice cream, and ending up at a little shop called Homeleigh Vintage, that we like.
With Arnside's shopping experience pretty much exhausted, we walked back down to Ye Olde Fighting Cocks for a drink, which we enjoyed so much that on our return to Kirkby Lonsdale, we went down to The King's Arms and followed some afternoon drinking with a curry. It was like a little holiday at home!
