Yusuf

And then you wake up one morning and know that it's time to leave.
So today found me heading back to say goodbye to Yusuf and lose another couple of games of chess and ponder my next move which I know geographically but which is complicated by it being 2025.
In many ways, as expected, it's a new India. Upi payments are everywhere, a ten rupee chai? Pay with your phone. Bus, train plane, we have an app for that; from endless queues to travel agents th technology, the years move on.
But I can't use the upi system as I don't have an Indian bank account and my reluctance to use my uk one on my phone finds me in a curious place, a bit of a conundrum.
Anyways and regardless it's been a fine return ending on a morning breakfast trawl without bananas and later the solving of of the conundrum by signing up for an online bank account. But even with that and a local sim card I couldn't get a bus ticket, so let the old fashioned methodology of travel raise its head. And onwards. Or not.
