Easter Sunday
A delight to gather with a bigger than normal church family this morning, and then our own family over lunch. Obviously we missed WelshMan and Dot.T who were enjoying a lovely weekend with their other family :-)) in Wales.
Good for them all to see the house and start owning it too. I never want them to feel like guests here.
We did have a joyful guest this afternoon; a wonderful man from Korea, who was speaking as a guest at ETCC this evening. Nice to meet him, as he already knows Elbows well, and Dot.T and MightyMouse a bit, and he got to know DougsJB today and then we all got to meet him.
And this evening, another couple of friends popped by to see the house, and then Elbow’s mum and sister and children - the need for bacon sandwiches grew by the minute. Blessed by this great weather! And we had a fire pit this evening too. Joy.
But more important than all of this is remembering that it’s Easter Sunday. It is a special special day to remember Jesus’s Resurrection. He has overcome death and showed us the eternal hope we can have. That’s why it was so good to have several visitors at church this morning. One of them was an Iranian lady who has asked me to come to her house and help her grow in confidence to speak in English. She speaks Farsi. I’m excited by this.
