Chaotic

I’m a chaotic and messy gardener. 

I have two friends who are just totally the opposite.

 One friend moved into a new house and her late husband designed a garden and established raised borders, all bounded by beautiful brick work. She fills these with new compost and bedding plants each year. It looks immaculate. It’s huge hard work. She’s patient , talented and green fingered.

My hairdresser has an immaculate garden too. Her neat borders are established in topiary. Again, it’s enormously time consuming but it is stunning.

I’m neither patient enough, nor talented enough to take this approach. I have to be realistic.

I love my chaos though. I’m fascinated when I find the unexpected, or even when something survives.

Thankfully, there’s room in the gardening world for so many different styles…

My beds are full. My pots are colourful. I need Google to remind me of the names. I’m living in hope …..potting Cosmos, planting potatoes in containers….. I love surprises.

My extras are of parts of the border….
