Greens

A rather lame blip! But the blue sky is gone again, and there's been intermittent rain all day. I did mainage to venture out of the village for the first time since Tuesday, for a quick shop in St Laurent, so I wandered around the village looking for something blippable in the deteriorating weather. This is it. 

S went down to the garden, did some clearing, and brought back a second crop of broad beans, so for lunch he improvised a pasta dish featuring beans, lardons, mozzarella, tomatoes, and a few other things. It was good. Still plenty of beans left for tomorrow.

Did not watch the pope's funeral apart from a clip of President Macron elegantly swerving a Trump handshake in favour of warmly greeting Zelenskyy (who I think was not wearing a suit. But at least it was black!). The photo of Trump and Zelensky's meeting in the Vatican was quite surreal.
