Moorgroga Has Fallen

A windy day, mostly cloudy with brief sunny spells in the afternoon.  A couple of showers before lunch. Chilly today.

A good sleep this morning, finally got breakfast going in the caravan.  Headed into Brae, popped along a couple of shops, then a look around.  A snooze after lunch.  A 6km hike in the late afternoon around Brae and Mavis Grind.  A fish supper from Frankie's for tea.  A quiet evening in the caravan, might try a pint later.

This corrugated iron croft house was built new in 1955, by Magnie Murray for Lowrie Couper to replace the old house which had fallen into disrepair. Last time I was here, the roof was still on the house, although the front had fallen down.  The gales have battered it this past while, won't be much left soon, well apart from those mass concrete pillers for the chimney.  Taken at Moorgroga, Collafirth, Delting.
