Bon Voyage
One last sunrise trip for me this morning. The sun came up at around 7 and I was there to meet it. I hit the fish market, the other fish market, and then drove into my favorite mobile home park to see if I could spot MY osprey couple.
They did not disappoint. The female posed and preened and eyeballed me, while her mate was in a nearby tree eating a fish for breakfast. They both eventually ended up back at the nest where the female demanded her half and flew off with it.
It was a joy to watch them this season, and speaking of Joy...we went to see our s-i-l Joy one last time before heading north. Tears were shed, and we will be praying that she continues to improve.
The car is 95% packed, Lisa just mopped the kitchen floor, and we're going to try to get to bed. We probably won't set an alarm, as we both have been waking up early.
I'll miss my mornings with my birds. As an added bonus...I didn't get pooped on this year. Last year I got it so bad that I had to strip at the front door, and put my camera bag into the washer and dryer.
Probably won't post on the way home. C ya soon.
