Ellis Park

Yes the sun shone, but right into our eyes for the first ten minutes of the game. We were not complaining though as it kept us toasty before the chill arrived after it went down.

A slightly better display by the Lions against Connacht but the win still leaves them well down the URC log.

Another bonkers half time display where the bunnies were replaced by dinosaurs, why? Who knows but it was still funny. I really enjoyed the bunch of wee kids that sang their wee hearts out throughout the game, huddled together at the end of the pitch, they were great! (See extras).

During the break Arnie had gone for a beer when a chap two rows down from us came to say hello after he saw that I was wearing a Scotland hoodie

Charlie, from Edinburgh originally, worked at Ferranti, played tenpin at Murrayfield Indoor Sports Club, and supports the Jambos. Given that he moved to SA in the 70’s we were not going to have met at any of these places. But it just goes to show what a wee world we live in.

Home for the monthly quiz which was fun, and we did our bit to retain our ranking at the bottom of the pile.
