Jam sandwich

Back in the 70s/80s, this beast was what you didn’t want to see approaching with its blues and twos wailing and flashing. Strathclyde Police traffic cops loved their souped-up Ford Granadas, and due to the white paintwork with orangey red stripe were known as jam sandwiches. Great to see a preserved one at the Riverside Museum.
