Bus Pass Walk

Backblip for Tuesday 22 April. Caught bus to Gilstead and walked down past Milner Field to the river. Diversion for coffee at the Higher Ground of course, and then canal towpath along to Saltaire. We had decided to try a different cafe for lunch today, but the route chosen was blocked so it was back along the canal towards Shipley and we found it without too much of a problem  Copper & Moss cafe is set within an apartment complex to the rear of Victoria Mills. All looks very nice, and quite a peaceful setting. Photos of canal looking back towards Salts Mill, Apartments, and the water feature outside the cafe. Some interesting lunch choices, nice setting and friendly staff.  Walked back up to Shipley afterwards to catch bus back to Bingley - perfect timing as bus was there waiting to leave and there was just about a 5 minute wait for the connection to the village. I left the others and went to M&S Food to try to get some flowers for part of my daughter's birthday present. Most were past their best but managed to find a couple of bunches. Son had been passing through Bingley and saw me walking along so came back and gave me a lift home. Took pressies up to daughter's in the evening and had a chat, and a play with Gladys the GSD. Good day all round.
