Chasing Butterflies

Sometimes, when you least expect it, things arrive just as you'd hoped for.  I'd noticed quite a few butterflies passing through the garden overhead so next time I went indoors I got my camera ready, this time with a wider lens.  No sooner had I stepped back outside than a butterfly fluttered by and with no time to think about or plan anything....snap...snap....done! 

I couldn't begin to count the number of times I've chased butterflies this summer.....unsuccessfully.....then today, totally out of the blue, success.  I think there's a lesson in there........

Bird feeder now operational and some old bananas I put out looked like they'd had peckish visitors by the end of the afternoon.  First bottle of sugar water hung too, but no sign of Trev today.  Let's see how long the avian grapevine takes to get the word out that my garden cafe is now open.
