Lodge Park - Open Again

This is the nearest NT property to us but we haven't visited since 2022, mainly because it is never open.

We popped along today though. It's going to be open on occasional weekends by the sound of it, mainly aligned with school holidays. I shouldn't have mentioned we live 2 minutes away (actually 5 minutes, I understated it a bit) as the guide started talking to me about volunteering.

The roof was open this time (it wasn't in 2022) but there were restrictions on the walking routes as there were red kites nesting nearby. There were quite a few bluebells, not as many at other locations perhaps, but enough to get the semblance of an ICM.

In other news we had our house insurance renewal quote come through. It's gone down £9. That can't be right surely. The Thames Water charges have gone up 42%!
