Holgate Hill

Richard was keen I should compete today in the York City Race. It was based in Acomb and Iran past this windmill on my course. Enjoyed my run and gave me some time concentrating on navigating rather than what is going on at home.

The windmill was built in 1770 and was renovated after being left derelict for many years. It is only one of two rare five sailed windmills that are still working. Despite York being regarded as flat I can assure you that this was definitely on top of a hill!

Pleased with my run finishing as leading woman and third overall on the course. Back home by lunchtime too.

Just realised this is another Blip Anniversary so soon after the last!
