Sunday

The gown and socks await me. 
No surgery today as there were other emergencies through A and E. 
So, it was a day of  pain , sleeping , hunger , and gasping for a cup of tea. At 4pm I got told no surgery so I got a cup of tea and a biscuit. Managed a few mouthfuls of mashed potato and  then a few spoons of custard then I was done. 
Surgery tomorrow is almost guaranteed, as I am a priority given it didn't happen today.
