Morning floral encounter

Spotted these flowers on our morning dog walk.

Back home caught up with some ironing.  A bit of tidying up, cleaned the garden table and chairs and made cheese and herb scones.  Yesterday made apple puree cake.  We had friends visiting in the afternoon. 

Friends arrived at 2.30.  Both have had cancer at different times.  E just recovered from ovarian cancer, keyhole surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy last year and this year P from having prostate removed following cancer diagnosis and awaiting results of further tests.  They both looked well having seen their daughter married yesterday.  

We had a great catch-up possibly the last in this house and Cambridge.  We sat in the garden as the afternoon was comfortably warm.

Looks like a warm week ahead inland.
