Over the sea to…… The island of Hoy .

We will skirt round the Isle of Hoy as we head towards Stromness , Orkney on tomorrows early ferry .
Today we visited the remains of Badbea clearance village before we headed on to a campsite at Thurso . We set off in sunshine but since arriving the clouds have come in and rain has fallen!
As we wandered around Badbea we thought of how courageous and resourceful the people must have been to survive in such a desolate place .
