Life's Little Moments

Over there

A quick grab through my kitchen window today as these two Blue Jays were perched in one of the cherry trees being buffeted about by the wind.  The extra glass from the window makes the image soft, but I actually don't mind the softness in this case.

Winds are gusting to 40 MPH today and the temps are only barely into the 50's making it feel like the 30's.  Jax wanted to hang out on the deck but he was curled up into such a snug ball that I knew he was cold - so I brought one of his fleece blankets out - spoiled git.

Hubs is now headed home from the track after a good day of practice.  He said the car performed well and he had a good time.  Unfortunately, driving the car trailer (which is enclosed) home with this wind won't be much fun, but hopefully he will be here in about 3 hours.

Nice FT chat with mom and dad today.  Dad is reconciled to wearing the dreaded boot until his broken foot mends.  If you've ever had to wear one of those for a break or a sprain, you know how awkward and uncomfortable they can be - but no denying they help a lot in the healing process.

Looking forward to warmer temps tomorrow.  And in the meantime, I have some more minor edits to do on my horse show shots.  Lots of fun working on them.

xoxo
