We made it!!

Becky's family, Al and I all participated in the Izzo challenge at MSU today.

It's a charity event that's for everyone, even old folks like us!  Al and I had planned to race walk a 5K course, but my hip had other ideas!  We decided to do the shortest walk from the beginning of the course and were one of the first people that made it into the stadium. 

Tom Izzo came in soon after, and made his way to the far side of the field so that everyone who finished the race could have a photo with his wife and him.  Such a gracious man!!  There were 7500 runners, walkers and rollers!!

It was a wonderful experience even if it wasn't how we hoped to do it!
