Busy day

The usual busy Sunday. Housecleaning and watering plants this morning, then out to brunch. I stopped at Home Depot and Walmart on the way home. I thought about going to the Public Gardens, but it started raining again. It did clear off later this afternoon, so I went for a drive around the Cow Bay loop. I stopped at Silver Sands Beach for this photo.

There has been a lot of controversy over access to this beach in recent years. There has always been access to this beach via a public right of way. A new owner (rich owner) decided he didn't want people walking past his yard so he put up a fence, blocking access. People got upset, the city got involved, and now there is access again. The rich owner built a gazebo and used it to block access, it has since been removed.

I haven't seen any rainfall totals for last night, but I do know it rained hard for most of the night. The power also went off for a short time. There are more showers in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning. We shall see what we get.

One of the brunch club members came in today wearing a Conservative tshirt. He didn't realize that he would get a hard time from us, lol. He was surrounded by Liberal supporters.
