Modern Maypole

It’s not real unless at least one person is filming it. One of our neighbors had a Welcoming Spring/Banishing Winter celebration this morning, complete with Maypole dancing, cake, and strawberries. Never mind that it was cold and drizzly, it was fun to hope for sun and warmth and hang out in a beautiful garden.

In the afternoon we saw a local high school production of Hadestown, a complicated musical retelling of the Orpheus/Eurydice story. What an impressive collection of young singers and dancers!
