Day was lovely
It began with a nightmare. I dreamed ICE was chasing and snatching children. We were all running around in a derelict building that was missing walls and had graffiti and mold. I was running down long hallways and long stairs. While we didn’t see it, we all knew it was happening and we were all freaked. I was running around looking for things and people.
The dream was so upsetting that I fed the crows and went back to bed. Mistake. I read things and learned that at least one person at USAID has killed themselves.
Lisa, who is still in Portugal, sent me pictures of aqueducts. I got to see some aqueducts while in the Azores with her in February. I emotionally regulated by learning how aqueducts work because, at heart, I am still a nerdy child. I think this is quite interesting: https://youtu.be/xGM1rsnbpE4?si=hRY67Ozpwh05axOz
I eventually got out of bed and I exercised and then I made it to a hike with total strangers and engaged in social activity, which helped.
Then I sat on my deck with my computer for hours and enjoyed my gorgeous upper garden The sun, temperature, humidity, and breeze were all perfect. Everything was lovely.
The news about Head Start and Meals on Wheels. All these amazing things the government does. There was a program that funded lawyers across the country to learn what they needed to know about domestic violence cases.
The news yesterday was full of Russia claiming they made advances in Kursk. Ukraine says this “does not reflect reality.” Russian publication RBC says that Putin has been made aware that Ukrainian soldiers are still in Kursk.
Bosnian dogs are being used to demine Ukraine. Norwegian People’s Aid has hired trainers to train in Ukraine. Training a dog takes 18 months.
