Last Blast

Summer holidays have flown in and it has been a blast. This jammy bugger still has a week and a bit to go, but it's back to an early rise and off to the sausage factory for me tomorrow. Motivated to the max I am.

Took the bikes out for a last summer holiday blast together to see how the giant horsey heids and the rest of the Helix project were fairing, seeing as it's only a month or so until it's all due to kick off. Didn't see much sign of a giant leap forward since the last time I was there almost a month back. Hopefully they'll be adding some more signage around the paths and cycle tracks - and maybe cutting down some of the grass and jaggy nettles and sweeping up all the broken glass and dog shit around their public art installations too - so that it's a bit easier to navigate around the place than it was today.

Noticed the Rowan Berries are out in force again this week and mentioned to Euan that when I was his age that was always a sure sign that the summer holidays were coming to an end. Not sure he thanked me for that one (think the thumbnail to this entry mirrored the look he gave me).

Ok, that's past nine. Time for bed.
