What I've Done

Today I had the honour of judging one of the British  Photographic Exhibitions - the Rushden open. Between the colour section, the Scapes section and the Creative section the three judges looked at almost 3000 photos, and scored them between 2 and 5, giving a total score range of 6 - 15.

Once each section was judged, we then looked at the high scoring entries, and selected gold, silver and bronze, a judges award each, plus BPE ribbons and commended's. Then we had to look through all the borderline entries (scored 11 - as there were too many), and reselect them. So by the end of the day we'd looked at around 3,600 pictures on-screen. Started at 9.30, finished just after 6pm, and this is a pretty good representation of how I felt. Despite the tiredness at the end, it was really rewarding and I did enjoy it.

NB: A fair bit of photoshop was used - I don't really look that bad!
