A double whammy…

A car in motion and a man at work so seems fine for MonoMonday.

I don’t know why I googled ‘double whammy’ because I thought its meaning was pretty obvious but I was wrong!
Double whammy a situation that is bad in two different ways : a situation in which two bad conditions exist at the same time or two bad things happen one after the other. With the cold weather and the high cost of heating fuel, homeowners were hit with a double whammy this winter.
Well I never… I thought it just meant two things happening. The pics aren’t brilliant so maybe double whammy is an appropriate heading for my blip.
And you may have noticed I slipped another saying in; well I never.
Used to express shock. It's a shortened version of old-fashioned phrases such as 'Well, I never did see such a hateful person in my life! ' It's a slightly old and quaint exclamation of surprise.
