Used to calm bees in a hive. Quite funny hearing all their tiny coughs. My brother had several hives. 

In other news...

My sock drawer in the wardrobe came off its runners months ago. It was starting to irk so I fixed it. Not a big job but smooth as silk now. Having to empty the drawer I can report that I have fifty one and a half pairs of socks.

Well phase 2 of our road surfacing got underway, main road between Bo'ness and Linlithgow will be shut for five days. Traffic chaos, eight mile detour. But wait, I know of a little back road that greatly reduces the diversion by about seven miles. I was not alone - it became a rat run. Two cars can squeeze past each other with care. which is fine until I rounded a bend to be faced with an enormous articulated lorry stuck. What an idiot to even think about taking a truck up a tiny winding lane. Mayhem.
