Slim pickings
Having realised I was an hour too early to leave for work this morning, I decided to wash the dishes. As I stood at the sink, looking out of the window, a fox leapt across the garden at the pigeons underneath the bird feeder. I’d never seen this before and it makes me wonder how often it catches a bird? We occasionally have piles of feathers in the back garden and I always assume it’s the work of the resident Sparrowhawk but maybe not? Anyway, all poor Foxy got on this occasion was a few sunflower seeds spilt from the feeder as the wee birds flew away in panic, slim pickings indeed.
