Often wins awards for the floral displays. When we came here about 46 years ago the flowering cherry trees were beautiful but a couple of years later they were all cut down because the Queen was coming and someone could hide in a tree with a gun!! Of course the locals were horrified . New trees were planted soon after and these are lovely but not as big as the originals.
