Mono Monday - ‘Motion’

Another lunch out, this time at The Exchange where I chose a vegetable risotto followed by Eton Mess made with fresh raspberries.

Once home I took a pre-arranged phone call from the investment company which deals with my Stocks & Shares ISA. I took this out following the financial crash of 2008, when I was advised that shares were cheaper to buy for quickly building up my portfolio. I get an annual review talking with a real person to give it a health check (amazingly it’s been the same lady for a number of years, which I’m happy about). I was surprised that the balance hadn’t particularly plummeted after the Trump tariffs debacle - or maybe it has mostly recovered since he put the 90-day pause in place. I don’t really look at the balance very often, and I view it as a useful nest egg for the future in case I might need to buy disability equipment like Mum did, or have to go into care (God forbid, but of course none of us can know what will one day happen).

Thank you to ApolloFly for hosting this week’s Mono Monday challenge, with the theme of ‘Motion’ relating to the built environment. I noticed this afternoon that my Acer tree was making shadows on the wall, its leaves moving about in a slight breeze.
