River of Flowers

By doffy

Monday: Clematis montana

It was very cold this morning, wind still southerly but cold.

Late morning I decided to continue clearing the overgrown bit of garden near the new wall, Mr. Blackbird was there like a shot and found some juicy worms - MrD was impressed at how the bird was wrapping the long worms around its beak so that none escaped!

I made a big panful of broccoli and Stilton soup and enjoyed it at lunchtime as I took a break from gardening and watched Gardeners World as I ate my soup :-)

We have had a few dry days, the weather is set to get warmer, peaking on Thursday - time to replace trays and saucers under my pots and water them. The plan is to plant as much as I can in the newly cleared part of the garden and reducing the pots to almost nothing!

ADDED LATER: we watched a couple of episodes of “Fools & Horses. When I went upstairs there were bats flying past my window :-))

Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
