Clematis montana
Probably the easiest clematis to grow, generous in flower albeit the season is relatively short. Last year Ruth planted this, a small plant, in a raised bed in her front garden, it's already doing well :-) I have one at home, one of three different species bought from the local supermarket here in Birmingham a few months back. That was a 3 for £6 bargain buy, the tiny plants now growing on lustily in much bigger pots. Next I must find places for them in the garden.
An uneventful drive from Wales this morning with both dogs. The plan to take the train up to New Street to hand Bella back to Jamie as he passed through on his way back home, was nearly scuppered by last minute problems. The display at Bournville flashed up 'Delayed' as my train was due. The minutes ticked by until I my twenty minute hand over time was down to four minutes. Arriving slightly flustered, of course I went up the wrong stairs and carrying Bella, had to negotiate two ticket barriers to find Jamie. Mission accomplished I found my return train waiting on the platform and was miraculously back in Bournville only half an hour after I left!
A sit down and a cuppa restored me and the rest of the day has passed mostly restfully and mercifully uneventfully at Ruth's.
