Mottisfont

We stayed last night in Dorchester and made our way home via Mottisfont, which is near Romsey in Hampshire. The house passed to the National Trust from Maud Russell, a society hostess. She was keen on supporting and sponsoring artists and many paintings can be seen in the house.

The second floor of the house is used to host art exhibitions. At present there is a display of E H Shepard's original illustrations for the "Winnie the Pooh" books by A A Milne.
