Sweet Chestnut

Another full day it feels. we set off for Penny's at 1100, a bit of lunch. Then Penny went off to see her 6th form students as they finished their art exams and catch up with some colleagues and show off Ottilie (who we hear behaved herself thank goodness). Then Trish, Adrian, Wendy and I visited Watts Gallery. A good afternoon. I love the trunk on this Sweet Chestnut tree. Apparently they come from the Eastern Mediterranean and were bought over to the UK by the Romans. So now we know! Watts Gallery is interesting - deffo worth a visit. Also my brother in law, Adrian was the engineer looking after the renovations of the gallery many years ago.
