Exercising my obligations as a citizen
Not many people would round off yheir day by completing their an Aussie election postal vote.
This loooong voting slip contains the candidates from Victoria standing for the the Sentate.
Voting is compulsory for Australian citizens, regardless of where you find yourself and there is a fine and a severe telling off if you miss casting your vote. It does mean that you have skin in the game regarding the future of the country and you do need to be engaged in politics to one degree or another.
There are many other countries who need to consider how to better engage their populations in the choice of their leader. One current world leader was selected by about 20% of their population which is not great.
