Work around

I bought a new bag recently. I was rather chuffed with it,  but the shine quickly faded when I realised that the magnetic catches could not support a reasonable weight of items in the bag. 

After considering various solutions,  I decided to install a secondary step to securing the flap/ handle using hidden snap catches.

I had to learn how to sew with waxed thread and curved needles into canvas,  so it was not as pretty as I might have preferred. But, hey! It works!
My confidence in my new bag to carry my folder and diary without bursting open has returned.  Hooray!
