Dandelion

A much maligned flower. See how beautiful it is? As soon as they start to appear in April, gardeners can't wait to mow them down. Campaigns in recent years have encouraged us to see them as vital sources of nectar for insects emerging from winter.

In Iceland, they come out in May.

This one was at Beacon Hill East car park where we had gone to sit in the glorious sunshine and give Basil a run. The park was verdant with Spring greenery.
