Another glorious day

so extremely beautiful and no nightmares! 

Had a promising business meeting this morning. Did NOT have a second one because it was with a teammate who is in Madrid and Madrid had NO POWER. WOW. Glad they and Portugal have power again. 

I’ve had a climbing hydrangea up for and least ten years and it has never bloomed. The leaves are gorgeous and the growth is healthy. I saw a bloom starting! 

April 24 Ukrainian intelligence announced that a sabotage operation had successfully destroyed an expensive Russian Su-30SM fighter aircraft. It cost Russia $50 million. This was the attack that was on the key logistics and command center. 

Ukraine used drones to release three Ukrainian soldiers from Russian captivity. Recon drones found Russian occupiers who had three prisoners. They sent other drones to reinforce. They forced the Russians to flee and leave the prisoners behind. 

Last night Ukraine used drones to hit a Russian electronics plant in Bryansk, Russia. Russia stopped 102 of the drones, but there were still explosions and fires. The plant produces components for missile systems, radar, electronic warfare systems, drones, and the electronics for military aircraft. This is not the first attack on the plant. They’ve been hit before and had to suspend operations then too. 

The United States may be about to lose a major weapons deal. Portugal was going to replace its F-16 fighter jets with F-35s. Portugal reiterated this throughout 2024. Now they are rethinking it. “Recent developments” and all that. No one wants to stay dependent on the US. Sweden has offered a jet to Canada and Portugal that has some nice advantages and is cheaper to purchase and maintain.
