Dash’s Birthday

Dash’s birthday started with a cool, foggy morning—the kind that looked like it would later burn off to become a sunny day. As usual, I was up early to relish the calm before the storm, and I popped out briefly to catch a few shots of misty droplet-gowned foliage.

Despite pre-exam stress, Dash managed to have quite a good day, and still managed to get plenty of revision done—all self-motivated, we would have been quite happy if he’d chosen to relax a little on his birthday. He had steak & eggs for breakfast, and took a bit of time out to play a new game on Steam. As anticipated, the weather was perfect once the fog had lifted. In the afternoon we had a lovely barbecue with cajun chicken, spicy sausages and more steaks.
