Manchester marathon take 2

We stayed over in Manchester last night as Kieran ran thr marathon again today.
It was a lot warmer than last year and, I'm sure there were more people out and about on the sardine cans trams but he managed to beat his time from last year spectacularly. He completed the race in 3 hours 41 and came 5013th out of 36000 competitors. A fantastic achievement. 
This was taken just over the hill from last year's photo, in Altrincham.  We managed to see him 4 times and I was so pleased that we just made it to the finish line in time.
We met Kieran's new girlfriend, Seren, after the race and enjoyed some lunch by the university. Afterwards, we picked up our case from Matt's and jumped in the car as Kieran has his first exam tomorrow! On the way home, he watched the Liverpool match and we arrived home just in time for their fifth goal and the celebrations.  It was certainly a day to remember!
