Sea Pinks (Armeria maritima)
It has been a beautiful sunny day here in Kintyre.
Headed out ot Machrihanish for our afternoon walk.
Very few seals about but several noisy oystercatchers were making their presence known.
The sea pinks have come into their own lots of clumps of them looking very pretty in the sunshine.
Apparently roots of sea pinks were sliced, boiled in milk and used to treat tuberculosis in Orkney several centuries ago.
