Atlantic Blanket Bog

It's all coming to life in the bog , rich in biodiversity and brilliant at storing carbon. The bog cotton is especially ethereal when it first comes out.

Himself likes to read out snippets of news as we breakfast. Today's info was two useful ways to live longer and keep healthy:
1. More champagne
2. Take a fart walk after dinner

My granny would have thoroughly approved of this advice as she loved champagne and also had a cautionary tale about an unfortunate man who kept his windypops in and died as a result!  Apparently this fact was emblazoned on his gravestone. We children were enthralled .Her other piece of important advice, which I think I've shared before, was never trust a man in plimsolls - I don't think the two are related. 
Right I'm off for a brisk walk, as quite a lot of red cabbage has been consumed today. Hopefully there might be some champagne on my return! (maybe a pinot)
