Brentford Public Baths
The historic public baths in Brentford were opened in 1896, when ornate architecture was fashionable. As well as a swimming pool, there were slipper baths for people who did not have baths at home. The baths closed in 1990, but I have met plenty of people who have fond memories of the pool. Some of the building has been converted into residences, but the main pool area is derelict, which seems such a shame.
