Rackwick Beach
CMC was fairly striding across the bay this morning, this as pre-prep for a Nature Festival event happening in May. There were even long-tailed ducks trumpeting in the bay before moving off to their breeding grounds. Without taking breath, and back at Creel HQ, the Current Mrs Creel started moving furniture about and painting the inside of the passage. Not to be outdone I got prepped and started painting the ootside of the flat. Late pm, we went in past to see my Mum. She looked as though she had met up with Sonny Liston, the bruising will take some time to come out. She was incoherent at times and confused. However, much to my amazement, she did say the cows around Dounby have started mooing in French, and consequently need a translator. She then started speaking French!!! Who knew?? As Kennet Willaims used to say ‘That’s your actual French’. After a busy day we met up in Kirkwall with Liam from Inverness, he’s the son of friends who stay in Nairn. They used to stay in Stuartfield (then Kingussie) and he’s always said we were a great influence on him in his formative years. Albeit he’ll never put it in writing. Ecclefechan, Dinnet, Traquair and Lochmaben. Our geography teacher said in exam conditions always pack a few place names in where possible.
