Physic Garden
As it was another lovely hot day and without grandparent duties, we decided on a trip into the Vale of Glamorgan. We started with a walk on the extensive beach at Ogmore. The extra is something I’ve not seen for many years: wave like patterns on wet sand made by fine deposits of coal dust. The result is rather abstract.
We then went on to the old market town of Cowbridge. The main is the Physic garden which recreates an 18th century garden full of herbs and other medicinal plants. In the background is the original Cowbridge Grammar or Free School founded in 1608 by Sir John Stradling with strong links to Jesus College Oxford.
