First bloom of 2025

It was just a bud this morning but the sun today had brought it into bloom. There are 3 out today and more to come. It fills my heart with joy to see it every year. To think it came from my Dad’s peony in my childhood home so it will be about 50 years old roughly. The bush was in our garden as long as I can remember.
I had a massage after school, brutal but helpful!
A quick drive home, tea then out to get my nails done.
